Tanda is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users' community data. This policy explains how we collect and use your information within our secure, encrypted database environment.

1. Data Collection

We collect basic account information (name, email, phone number) and the transaction data you log within your private Circles.

Verification Data: When you log a contribution, we collect a "Verification Display Name." This name is visible to other members of your Circle and is used solely to help administrators verify that your Tanda entry matches a real-world payment receipt.

Because Tanda is non-custodial, we never collect bank account details or credit card information for your group's financial transactions. External payment links (Deep Links) are handled by third-party applications (like M-Pesa or PayPal) and are not processed by Tanda.

2. Data Usage

Your data is used solely to maintain the shared ledger, send coordination alerts, and provide analytical insights.

3. Trial Expiration & Data Deletion

To maintain platform integrity and tier compliance, Tanda implements automated data management for trial users.

Pruning Protocol: If a trial period expires without an active subscription, the system will automatically remove excess Circles created during the trial, keeping only the first record. This deletion is permanent and follows our security-first approach to minimize the storage of non-compliant community data.

4. Data Security

All records are stored in a secure, encrypted database cluster. We implement bank-grade access controls to ensure that only invited members can see a Circle's activity. We do not sell or share your data with third-party advertisers.
